Easy gourmet burger recipe

I made this hamburger by combining several recipes I found on the internet and making them into my own hamburger. You can find the sources on the bottom of this post ;). The hamburger was made with some rocket-pesto, tapenade-hummus and of course the patty.

Ingredients:

For the rocket-pesto:

  • 20 grams of rocket
  • 6 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 garlic glove

For the tapenade-hummus:

  • 1 can of chickpeas
  • 30 ml tahini (sesame paste)
  • 30 ml olive oil
  • 20 ml lemon juice
  • 20 ml water
  • 100 gram of (black) olives
  • a bit of salt and pepper

For the patty:

  • 250 grams of ground meat
  • 2 eggs
  • 30 grams of rusk

Additional ingredients:

  • Bread (I used a sourdough baguette and sliced it into 3 parts)
  • 2 tomatoes
  • about 40 grams of rocket

I started by preparing the rocket pesto, which is very easy. Just put all the ingredients for the pesto into the food processor and wait until it is blended together. It is nicer when there are still parts of the rocket left and it’s not all processed.

Then for the tapenade-hummus you can do the same, but make sure there are no small pieces of chickpeas left in the mixture. After this you can cut the tomatoes into slices of 1/1,5 cm. Put some rocket pesto on the tomatoes and grill them in a grill-pan for about 1 to 2 min.

Now you can start preparing the burger patty. Put the ingredients in a bowl and mix them together. I did this with my hands, but you can also use cutlery. After that you can make 3 balls of ground meat and flatten them, the way hamburgers are. Fry the hamburgers for about 10 min in a pan.

Now you can cut the bread and put the tapenade-hummus on the bottom of your sandwich and some rocket-pesto on the top part of the sandwich. Put some rocket on the hummus and the burger on top of the rocket. Then on the burger you can put a slice of tomato. Finish that off with the top bun of the burger and bon appétit! Let me know how your burger came out! 🙂

P.S. Thanks to Milo for helping me translate 😉
